Hydrocortisone Injection

A H ZONE SINGLE (Hydrocortisone) is a corticosteroid (steroid medicine) used because of a number of diseases and conditions to treat inflammation. Cortisol, a natural hormone produced by our adrenal glands, is similar to the medicine in hydrocortisone. Corticosteroids have powerful anti-inflammatory actions and repress the immune system as well.
The dose, duration, and frequency of administration consider the side effects of hydrocortisone. With few and mild side effects, short courses of hydrocortisone are usually well tolerated. High doses of hydrocortisone will generally generate predictable and potentially serious side effects over the long term. To minimize side effects, the lowest effective doses of hydrocortisone should be used as soon as possible.
